Mal floral

Le Mal floral is a hyper-realist metamorphosis of wild flowers. Uprooted from its natural environment, the object is set against a neutral background, the reverse of a still life. Through digital photography and computer processing, the flower is isolated, decontextualized and magnified. The ironic reference to Baudelaire raises the question of the beautiful in today’s art.
